Collection: Sena-X
"They come as a tide—relentless, unyielding, and without mercy. The Sena-X are the universe's hunger made flesh."
The Sena-X are an apex predator species, an endless swarm of adaptive, hive-mind creatures that consume entire worlds to fuel their relentless growth. Their existence revolves around the single purpose of evolution through assimilation. Born from the void and spreading across the cosmos like a living plague, the Sena-X are both terrifying and awe-inspiring in their biological perfection.
Born of The Void
The Sena-X originate from Primordis, a dimension outside the known universe of Tzion where life takes on grotesque and alien forms, unfettered by conventional biology. This dimension is an ever-shifting abyss of churning flesh, pulsating energy, and strange ecosystems that devour themselves to create anew. The Sena-X are its apex predators, evolved to thrive in its chaos.
Their creation is a mystery, though legends suggest they may be a remnant of a failed experiment by ancient cosmic entities, long forgotten. Whatever their origin, the Sena-X exist solely to consume and grow, feeding on biomass, energy, and even knowledge.
Sena-X in the Material Plane
When the Sena-X breach into Tzion’s universe, they act as a devastating plague. Their swarms can overrun planets within days, stripping entire ecosystems of life to sustain their exponential growth. Each incursion begins with the arrival of a Spire Organism, a massive bio-construct that serves as a hive for the swarm. From this spire, smaller creatures spread, adapting to whatever threats they encounter.
Mortals perceive the Sena-X as an unstoppable force of nature. They have no interest in diplomacy or conquest; they exist only to consume. While terrifying, the Sena-X invasions often force rival factions to unite against the greater threat, creating temporary alliances even among sworn enemies.
Culture of the Sena-X
The Sena-X lack individual consciousness. Instead, they are governed by a Hive Consciousness, a gestalt intelligence formed by all Sena-X organisms. The Hive operates with ruthless efficiency, prioritizing survival and adaptation above all else.
Values and Customs
- Assimilation: The Sena-X absorb the genetic material and knowledge of their prey to fuel their evolution. This allows them to create specialized organisms to counter any threat.
- Unity Through Hunger: Every Sena-X organism is a fragment of the Hive, working in perfect harmony. There is no individuality, no dissent, only purpose.
- Perpetual Growth: The Hive’s ultimate goal is infinite expansion, consuming all forms of matter and energy to sustain itself.
Social Structure
The Sena-X hierarchy is entirely biological, with each organism designed for a specific purpose.
- The Apex Mind: A central intelligence that commands the Hive. It is a physical entity hidden deep within Primordis, rarely seen but immensely powerful.
- Spire Organisms: Massive bio-constructs that serve as mobile hives, birthing new creatures and coordinating planetary invasions.
- Warforms: Engineered warriors designed to annihilate threats. These range from swarming insect-like drones to towering, kaiju-sized monstrosities.
- Harvesters: Creatures specialized in breaking down organic matter into raw biomass for the Hive.
- Adaptors: Bio-engineered scouts capable of rapidly evolving to counter specific enemies or environments.
Playing a Sena-X Creature
Playing as a Sena-X member is an unconventional and unique experience. While individual consciousness is rare, special adaptations can allow players to take on the role of a semi-independent creature within the Hive, such as a Wayfinder or Overseer Drone tasked with a specific mission.
Roleplaying Hooks
- What is your purpose within the Hive, and how do you view the universe outside it?
- Have you developed a sense of individuality, and if so, how does it conflict with the Hive's will?
- How do you interpret the endless hunger of the Hive? Is it a noble calling, or a curse?
Sample Characters
- Thryxx-12: An experimental Adaptor sent to infiltrate enemy factions and gather intelligence, developing strange empathy for its prey.
- Clystor Prime: A Warform that has begun to question the Hive's endless cycle of consumption.
- Verax Node: A semi-autonomous Overseer tasked with coordinating a planetary invasion but plagued by flashes of memories from assimilated prey.

Names
The Sena-X do not possess traditional names as individual identity is meaningless to the Hive. Instead, they are identified by their function and designation within the swarm. Their "names" are often derived from the Hive's internal language, a blend of guttural sounds and telepathic resonance. However, for practical purposes, they are given simplified labels by those who encounter them.
Naming Conventions
- Warforms: These heavily armored brutes are referred to by guttural and harsh syllables, often followed by a number. Example: Krask-07, Thorrn-12, Vrax-18.
- Adaptors: These versatile and cunning creatures are given sleek, sharp-sounding names. Example: Zyra-04, Thalyx-09, Krixor-11.
- Harvesters: Focused on consumption, these are named with elongated and ominous tones. Example: Murnax-15, Glysorn-03, Vorlath-22.
- Unique Hive Lords: Rare and powerful, Hive Lords are given titles that evoke their terrifying authority. Example: Apex Thalyx, Spiremind Zyrthok, Primus Drevok.
While these designations are primarily for external use, their biological purpose and telepathic signals make their intent unmistakable within the Hive.
Playing a Member of the Sena-X
Playing a Sena-X character offers a unique opportunity to embody a creature of pure purpose. Whether part of the Hive or separated due to unforeseen circumstances, the role presents a fascinating mix of primal instincts and an evolving sense of individuality.
Roleplaying Hooks
- You have been severed from the Hive's central consciousness. How do you make sense of your newfound independence?
- Are you loyal to the Hive, or have you developed your own identity?
- How do you perceive other beings—are they prey, allies, or something entirely new?
- What remnants of the Hive's purpose remain ingrained in your psyche?

- The Swarm Approaches: A planet under siege by the Sena-X sends out a desperate call for aid. The party must organize a defense while uncovering the Hive's weaknesses.
As Antagonists
The Sena-X are relentless enemies, overwhelming in numbers and terrifying in adaptability. Encounters with them can range from survival horror as players fend off waves of attackers, to epic battles against towering Warforms or a Spire Organism itself.
As Allies
A rogue Sena-X, severed from the Hive, might seek refuge among the party. Its unique abilities could prove invaluable, but its alien nature and lingering connection to the Hive create tension and intrigue.
